The accident happened Friday night as Janet Esrock and her son Jonathan Esrock left a high school football game. A Chevy Tahoe that was speeding down Wildhorse Creek Road hit Janet Esrock, a teacher and coach at the high school, and her son, a sophomore at the high school. Although the Missouri State Highway Patrol did not release a crash report for the Missouri car accident, but local reports state the Chevy Tahoe was driven by a 53-year-old and the accident could have been caused by alcohol.
The Missouri head-on collision required the Esrocks to be extracted from the vehicle by the Monarch Fire Protection District paramedics. The Missouri car accident victims were rushed to St. John’s Mercy hospital. Janet Esrock was reported to require a respirator to breathe and her son had to have surgery for a number of broken bones. A Whitfield High School official sent a pubic email letting the community know that the Missouri car accident victims were sedated and could not see visitors from the broader community at this time.
